Book Review

I am very excited to read this book, cause the cover is just so darn awesome, and the title Die for me is something that really caught my attention. i was thinking that there are maybe sacrificial stuff that will happen in this book.

this book is actually about the "undead" or the term used in here are the "revenants"  in my perception, i can say that the revenants are the modern day type of heroes. cause you see they are basically unable to die, if they die they usually came back to life after 3 days of being dormant or more like resting and regenerating their lost energy. and dying to them is more like a compulsion. they die cause their body craves for it.

i encountered a lot of undead guys in YA books that i've read, but there is always a loop hole on how you can kill them, like let's say a vampire can be killed by staking their hearts, a werewolf can be killed by a silver bullet, but a revenant? a revenant cannot be killed, for all i know they want to be killed cause as i've said above , dying is more like a compulsion to them, they crave to be dead. in a way the concept of the book reminds me of Alaric Saltman and John Gilbert's ring from the TV show  vampire diaries.

the plot  of the book is basically about the revenants and Kate (the heroine of the book) and also of course the never ending forbidden love . i can say that this book is a very light read, i did not struggle to finish reading this one.
the concept of the book is something totally new to me but some parts are just a bit confusing and i guess this one lacks adrenaline and a bit of imagination, i mean i love the whole "not dying" concept but i just wished that the information about the revenants are a bit more detailed and intact.

i don't like vincent, i think jules is more of my Eye Candy

so 3 stars for the book. cause even though some parts are not intact or some parts are confusing. i still like this one. and this is just the first book of the series. I'm expecting the second book to be better.
