Finding your eternal soulmate - easy.
Stopping a true-love-hungry evil - not so much…
After breaking a centuries-old romantic curse, Emma Connor is (almost) glad to get back to normal problems. Although...it's not easy dealing with the jealous cliques and gossip that rule her exclusive Upper East Side prep, even for a sixteen-year-old newbie witch. Having the most-wanted boy in school as her eternal soul mate sure helps ease the pain-especially since wealthy, rocker-hot Brendan Salinger is very good at staying irresistibly close....
But something dark and hungry is using Emma and Brendan's deepest fears to reveal damaging secrets and destroy their trust in each other. And Emma's crash course in über-spells may not be enough to keep them safe…or to stop an inhuman force bent on making their unsuspected power its own
Book Title: Spellcaster (Spellbound #2)
Author: Cara Lynn Shultz
My Rating:
Book Review
this is the second book of the spell bound series, actually the first book of the series was a surprise for me, cause I was expecting to rant about it, i have this impression that the first book would be really trashy and cliche but it turns out that it was great, a little cliche here and there but i did enjoy reading it, enough for me to be excited to read the next book.
so the second book would have to be the continuation of brendan and emma's undying love for each other, I mean they really have the real deal of true love. the book is actually compose of their showy affection for each other, which is well a bit too good to be true. but the upside of the whole book is the withcy stuff that was shown here, and of course some history about witchcraft which i guess really liked, I mean this is the element present in the first book that made it really special, cause i guess the history being narrated and presented in the book, is very rich and very gothic, i guess this is the certain distinction that this book contains , than any PR books around.
the downside is that the book is kinda long, a book which contains this number of pages i would have read it over a day, but this one is not like that, the book is very redundant, it contains with on and off fights between emma and brendan and well , gosh! what is the point of fighting if they are like eternal lovers. no point in fighting if they'll be all lovey dovey up until the end, if the author just reduced the arguements between them the book would have been thinner. SERIOUSLY!
but the ending was really nice very hmmmmm!! WOW! i guess it realesed the whole dreaming -of - true-love-does-exist side of me. i don't know if this is the last book, but it is nice that the book get to end this way. :)
