Book Review

Ok! this book seem to create a buzz due to its cover, I can't blame them the dress worn by the model was really to die for... OH! that dress is just... just damn! its great! and as crazy as it may seem I think I was drawn to read this book due to the same reason, (Troll Face).

what do I think of the book?

well when I've read the short summary of the book I was like "the book is gonna be like the TV series "The Bachelor" wonder if it will be cheesy?" well it turns out it wasn't cheesy. the first couple pages of the book just focuses on what it's like living in Illea the turmoil and the caste system that is under in their society in a way I felt guilty for thinkinh this book would be like really cheesy and shallow but it's not. You just really feel symphaty for the people of Illea cause I know how the caste system works you are not allowed to ascend in your rank unless you marry someone above your caste. And the first couple of book just narrates the struggling and hunger of the people of Illea, In the back of my mind I was saying that maybe this book is not that bad after all, in fact it's like the classy version of the Hunger Games, instead of fighting they get to win the heart of Prince Maxom, enable for them to be entirely rich. so I was greatly enjoying mysef in reading this book. Yeah. But it was cut short until I've read the second part.

The second part of the book, I'll have to say that that's where the cheesy part started to happen, and for me the whole "Selection" process was too long, and I was expecting for a catfight to happen between the girls, but none happened, I guess the second part of the book didn't provide enough details and concreteness, or enough adrenaline rush for me to really, really like this book. But the characters are good, I love them all. America, is a the main heroine in the story, and I guess she is not that bad, she just have conflicting feelings toward the Prince and Aspen. but nevertheless I did like her. she has so much passion in her craft, which is singing. as for the two boys I guess I am more on Prince Maxom's side (Sorry Aspen) well mainly because the book provided more information for him. so I guess I favor him more than Aspen.

**** SPOILERS***

The ending was really UNFORGIVABLE! I've read an entire book, and it won't give me enough conclusion of who is selected to be the crown Princess! and I was so damn furios I can't help but say that I've given time to read this book, but it left me no answers... awww!! I was sooooo disappointed, like really, really disaapointed! I hope the secons book will be far more better than this one. :(
