Book Review: The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

Synopsis From Goodreads
Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing.
Unless he can earn a soul.
To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.
Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.
With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.
To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.
And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Book Review

Iron Knight! the Iron Fey series has finally come to an end i was so eagerly anticipating for this book cause the Iron Queen just had a very bittersweet ending so A VERY HUGE THANKS TO NETGALLEY for providing Arc copies of the book, i will forever thank you guys. LOL

the iron king is where the 3rd book has left off, Meghan Chase is the new Iron Queen and our Icy Prince ASh is on the find a way to be with his beloved. He needs to find a soul to turn into a human so he can be with Meghan to the Iron Kingdom.

My Thoughts?

WOW! Just wow! i have Huge expectations regarding this book and i am so glad it didn't disappoint me, God! this one is full of adrenaline and twist, who would have thought that Ariella is alive? i mean come on!! her death just tormented Prince Ash and out of nowhere *POOF* she's alive! oh and she just pissed me cause why did she have to appear in the picture?? and the part where she has to appear in Meghan's dream, owww! i was on the verge of re-killing her.. haha! *Kidding* so she really redeem herself at the end and i was kinda feeling guilty for being so pissed with her.

the adventure of finding a soul is a very nice. i think the whole reminds me of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, where Percy has to take a bath in the river of Styx to became powerful, i like it that the Big Bad Wolf was included in the adventure... the whole quest is the main highlight of the book cause we get to see Ash's determination and perseverance, and remember in the previous books that Ash kept on saying that he is an evil Faerie?? well he is so not exaggerating it turns out that he is really an evil fearie, the kind that can't possess any emotion, or *coughs* the heartless kind of a prince. the flashbacks and the tests of becoming a human is something that i really liked.

Overall: a fabulous book! a must read if you are a true blue Iron fey fan, and to be totally honest i'm a bit sad that the series has come to an end, but i am glad it is a happy ending, and reading this one is such a ride for me, and a big huge thanks to miss Kagawa for making a very awesome book series.

on the first couple of pages of the book, Grim,Puck,Ash,The Wolf wanted to make an adventure so they can have a story to tell to every person in Never Never, ow guess what guys? you just made a legend! you will always and will be remembered. *sniffs* i'll miss my Jester, so sad he ended up with no one. :(
