Book Review: The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

Synopsis From Goodreads
Ash, former prince of the Winter Court, gave up everything. His title, his home, even his vow of loyalty. All for a girl… and all for nothing.
Unless he can earn a soul.
To cold, emotionless faery prince Ash, love was a weakness for mortals and fools. His own love had died a horrible death, killing any gentler feelings the Winter prince might have had. Or so he thought.
Then Meghan Chase—a half human, half fey slip of a girl— smashed through his barricades, binding him to her irrevocably with his oath to be her knight. And when all of Faery nearly fell to the Iron fey, she severed their bond to save his life. Meghan is now the Iron Queen, ruler of a realm where no Winter or Summer fey can survive.
With the (unwelcome) company of his archrival, Summer Court prankster Puck, and the infuriating cait sith Grimalkin, Ash begins a journey he is bound to see through to its end— a quest to find a way to honor his solemn vow to stand by Meghan’s side.
To survive in the Iron realm, Ash must have a soul and a mortal body. But the tests he must face to earn these things are impossible. At least, no one has ever passed to tell the tale.
And then Ash learns something that changes everything. A truth that turns reality upside down, challenges his darkest beliefs and shows him that, sometimes, it takes more than courage to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Book Review

Iron Knight! the Iron Fey series has finally come to an end i was so eagerly anticipating for this book cause the Iron Queen just had a very bittersweet ending so A VERY HUGE THANKS TO NETGALLEY for providing Arc copies of the book, i will forever thank you guys. LOL

the iron king is where the 3rd book has left off, Meghan Chase is the new Iron Queen and our Icy Prince ASh is on the find a way to be with his beloved. He needs to find a soul to turn into a human so he can be with Meghan to the Iron Kingdom.

My Thoughts?

WOW! Just wow! i have Huge expectations regarding this book and i am so glad it didn't disappoint me, God! this one is full of adrenaline and twist, who would have thought that Ariella is alive? i mean come on!! her death just tormented Prince Ash and out of nowhere *POOF* she's alive! oh and she just pissed me cause why did she have to appear in the picture?? and the part where she has to appear in Meghan's dream, owww! i was on the verge of re-killing her.. haha! *Kidding* so she really redeem herself at the end and i was kinda feeling guilty for being so pissed with her.

the adventure of finding a soul is a very nice. i think the whole reminds me of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, where Percy has to take a bath in the river of Styx to became powerful, i like it that the Big Bad Wolf was included in the adventure... the whole quest is the main highlight of the book cause we get to see Ash's determination and perseverance, and remember in the previous books that Ash kept on saying that he is an evil Faerie?? well he is so not exaggerating it turns out that he is really an evil fearie, the kind that can't possess any emotion, or *coughs* the heartless kind of a prince. the flashbacks and the tests of becoming a human is something that i really liked.

Overall: a fabulous book! a must read if you are a true blue Iron fey fan, and to be totally honest i'm a bit sad that the series has come to an end, but i am glad it is a happy ending, and reading this one is such a ride for me, and a big huge thanks to miss Kagawa for making a very awesome book series.

on the first couple of pages of the book, Grim,Puck,Ash,The Wolf wanted to make an adventure so they can have a story to tell to every person in Never Never, ow guess what guys? you just made a legend! you will always and will be remembered. *sniffs* i'll miss my Jester, so sad he ended up with no one. :(

What she wants is to help her best friend, whose life is spiraling out of control. She wants to lie in her boyfriend's arms forever. But as the Need grows stronger, it begins to take a dangerous toll on Charlotte. And who she was, is, and will become--her mark on this earth, her very existence--is in jeopardy of disappearing completely. Charlotte will be forced to choose: Should she embrace her fate as a Forgotten, a fate that promises to rip her from the lives of those she loves forever? Or is she willing to fight against her destiny--no matter how dark the consequences

Book Title: A need So Beautiful (A need so beautiful #1)

My Rating:
Book Review

well... hmm.  a new concept of guardian angels is introduced here, I am still contemplating if i gave this book a proper rating. i did enjoy reading this one but i feel like the story was not that intact, sure the story is kinda good cause of Charlotte's case, cause you see she is having this attack which she calls the "Need" wherein she saw random people in need and her mission is to help them, but here is the catch. she will be forgotten. no one will know here once the need took over her life.

kinda intriguing right?? i mean what fun would it be to be a hero but in the end no one will know you, while i was reading this i was in a very clam state, i don't remember going berserk or very hyped up on the book. I kinda predicted of some part, like in the case of Harlin, what i appreciate about here is that maybe while i was reading this i was confused who is the good guy and the bad guy. i don't know which side should i believe.

Overall: nice read, will read the next one cause i have a strong feeling that the next one will be better. the book kinda also reminds me of the movie DEATH BECOMES HER. LOL

Book Review: Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Synopsis from Goodreads
Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies

Book Title: Forgotten
Author: Cat Patrick
Genre: YA Fiction,Romance, Paranormal, Contemporary
My Rating:

Book Review

forgotten is about London Lane, London is your very normal teenage girl except she hides a secret-- she isn't able to know what her past was, every time she goes to sleep she forgets what happened to her yesterday, enable to keep track of what she did recently she makes a note before she goes to sleep. but even though she doesn't know what her past was she is able to see through the future.

Forgotten's premise is something fresh and new. right? i was so intrigued with this book cause everything is just so new to me, Imagine living a life like London's? i can say that her life is really tough cause she isn't able to remember anything regarding her past, i mean what fun would it be to know things from the future but your past is blank? and everyday you have to make notes of what you've done recently enable to keep track of what you are doing, when i was reading this i can't help but feel so pained regarding London's situation I was like " and i thought my life is tough!?"

the book is something i would have finished with just one sitting cause of the very fast paced plot and the mystery is something that will make you grab on the edge of your seat. i was so much looking forward on what is London's dream about, i was thinking that maybe it's her funeral that she is seeing, but i was wrong (Super Major WRONG).
the other thing that i really appreciate about this book is maybe the thought that there is really someone out there for you like there is actually a person that is meant to be with you and even disregarding your unnatural abilities, and even accepting you for what you are  like how Luke still loved London even though he bears the tought that London won't be able to remember her the moment she wakes up (See? See? *pokes*)

Overall : A nice book, i would have given this one a 5 star rating cause of the story's originality but i was just so disappointed with the ending, if i have this book on a hard copy i would have juggle all through it's pages over and over again just to make sure i am reading it's ending, i guess i have no words to describe what the ending is i can't call it a happy ending or a cliff-hanger. so my supposedly 5 star rating reduced to 3 stars, but forgotten is a good book, i do recommend it to readers who likes to have a taste for contemporary YA Fiction. :)

Book Review: Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr

Synopsis from Goodreads
Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange author Melissa Marr delivers another little masterpiece of Urban Faery, that budding subgenre. In this ethereal romance, Aislinn has achieved the fragile eternity of the title; she has become an immortal faery, complicating both her life and that of Seth, the man who loves her.

Book Title: Fragile Eternity (Wicked Lovely #3)
Author: Melissa Marr
Genre: Fantasy,Paranormal romace,YA
My RAting:

Book Review

and i thought this book series won't get any better.! :)

I was a bit skeptical about this book series i thought i would give the whole series a 3 star rating cause i gave the 2 previous books 3 stars. so if you happen to just like the first book and thinking of ditching the series, i am telling you that the 3rd book is way way better than the first two ones.

the 3rd book is where the first book has left off, Aislinn is the new summer Queen, Donia is the new Winter Queen, Ash Still choose to keep her Mortal Boyfriend, Seth Morgan, While Keenan on the other hand is in love with the new winter queen. but winter and summer can't be together. Seth wants to be a Fae so he can be with Aislinn Forever.

this book is so awesome! it really took me off guard. Maybe because i was expecting this book to be bad? that's why i was so hype up about it? , but the book mainly is focus about love, like love triangles, forbidden love, any love complications you can think of exist here. as i said the first book, i am not a big Ash Fan but she seems to be a little likable in this book hmmm.. still incomplete lines is still there but i see a little progress in her character. My attention shifts through the new winter queen, i find her interesting her love interest with keenan is far more interesting.. i was actually looking forward on reading Keenan and Donia's story rather than ash and Seth's.

overall this is one mind boggling book and it surprised me how this book is 10 times better than the first one. will read the 4th book soon!! :)

Book Review: Witches of East End by Melissa dela Cruz

Synopsis from Goodreads
The three Beauchamp women--Joanna and her daughters Freya and Ingrid--live in North Hampton, out on the tip of Long Island. Their beautiful, mist-shrouded town seems almost stuck in time, and all three women lead seemingly quiet, uneventful existences. But they are harboring a mighty secret--they are powerful witches banned from using their magic. Joanna can resurrect people from the dead and heal the most serious of injuries. Ingrid, her bookish daughter, has the ability to predict the future and weave knots that can solve anything from infertility to infidelity. And finally, there's Freya, the wild child, who has a charm or a potion that can cure most any heartache.
For centuries, all three women have been forced to suppress their abilities. But then Freya, who is about to get married to the wealthy and mysterious Bran Gardiner, finds that her increasingly complicated romantic life makes it more difficult than ever to hide her secret. Soon Ingrid and Joanna confront similar dilemmas, and the Beauchamp women realize they can no longer conceal their true selves. They unearth their wands from the attic, dust off their broomsticks, and begin casting spells on the townspeople. It all seems like a bit of good-natured, innocent magic, but then mysterious, violent attacks begin to plague the town. When a young girl disappears over the Fourth of July weekend, they realize it's time to uncover who and what dark forces are working against them.

Book Title: Witches of East End ( The Beauchamp Family #1)
Author: Melissa dela Cruz
Genre: Adult Fantasy,Romace
My Rating:

Book Review

This book is another book from Melissa dela Cruz this time it's about Adult Fantasy. So this time she wrote a book about 3 witches, The Beauchamp girls who posses different kinds of powers but they are forbidden to use their magic cause the witches council thinks that their magic causes harm to humans.

so any-who! this is another book from one of my favorite authors. i love the blue bloods series and i was also expecting this one to be as intriguing  as the blue bloods series, and i just have a glimpse of Freya in Bloody Valentine, and she is such a nice girl..err witch to cure Ollie's broken heart.

this book is actually an adult book so it contains some graphic scenes and well this contains a lot of twist, cause Melissa dela Cruz combined Norse Mythology plus Witches in this book, the first couple of pages is filled with mystery and a lot of blabbering but the ending made the book so much better, Freya's love triangle is such a nice twist. i find myself so confuse on which brother should i root for, another thing i think i see in this book is it contains women empowerment, Ingrid,Freya and Joanna are such strong girls that posses different kinds of personalities, that i think everyone can relate to i think the beauchamp girls showed that event though your timid and shy (Ingrid) wild and snarky (freya) and a mother (Joanna) you can still be have some spunk and can stand on your own feet.

overall this is one good read, and i know that there are more twist on the upcoming books of the series, the mythology is really nice touch. and if you are a blue bloods fan, you should read this!!! OMG!!! Mimi made a small appearance on this book, and guess what? she is asking for a subvertio ritual!! hmmm... *won't spill the details* haha!!! GRAB the BOOK and read it!!!

Book Review: Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Synopsis from Goodreads
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.

Book Title: Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy #1)
Author: Kiersten White
Genre:YA Fiction, Paranormal Romance, Action Adventure
My Rating:

Book Title

the book cover of Paranormalcy gave me an Impression that this book is gonna be Dark and Mysterious and it will introduce me to a kick-ass heroine, but if you ask me, i can describe Paranormalcy in one word PINK!!!! what i am trying to say is that i find the book very childish and very chick-lit-ish (here I am again).

Evie is the kind of character, that hmmm.. I don't know, while reading her POV i sometimes feel annoyed with her actions, sometimes i feel sorry for her cause she is deprived to all the great things that a normal teenager should have, sometimes i think she is flirting too much, so yeah. hmmm. I'm still undecided about Evie.the only character i like is *gasp* Reth!! gosh! i have a thing for bad boys! haha! (you can warm me up anytime Reth darling) haha!!!! XD

the concept of the book is pretty good, the first couple of pages reminded me of the movie hellboy cause of the paranormal headquarters and the mash up of the paranormals in it, and all the gadgets used for tracking the paranormals. but as i read the book i was pretty pissed cause the athour just made the plot revolve around unanswered questions and a lot of hooking up and fire girl, so basically i don't get the essence of the whole book. I don't know what is the MAIN PLOT of the book. (aww. sorry!!! i really, really feel soooooooo bad for not liking this book)

i still think that the  book cover of Book 2 is really nice, hmmm. i have high hopes that this would be better than the first. *Pretty Please*  so i guess i'm still up for the next one. hmmm... cause I think that this book has potential , so we'll see if i will like this one. hopes it will answer all
the questions that is swirling in my mind

Book Review: The Girl who was On Fire

Synopsis from goodreads

Katniss Everdeen’s adventures may have come to an end, but her story continues to blaze in the hearts of millions worldwide.
In The Girl Who Was on Fire, thirteen YA authors take you back to Panem with moving, dark, and funny pieces on Katniss, the Games, Gale and Peeta, reality TV, survival, and more. From the trilogy's darker themes of violence and social control to fashion and weaponry, the collection's exploration of the Hunger Games reveals exactly how rich, and how perilous, protagonist Katniss’ world really is.

Book Title: The Girl who was On fire
My Rating:

Book Review

i never thought that I will give this book a 2 star rating, i super LOVE the Hunger games trilogy! and i thought i will find myself liking this short anthology of the series. oh man! I feel so bad for giving this book 2 stars, but i was just so bored when i was reading this.

this book is actually about a compiled essay about the hunger games craze, so basically the book just revolves around the 3 main characters (Katniss,Gale,Peeta) and also about Panem and the book's supporting characters (Rue,Finnick, Prim) Etc. i just feel like the whole book is pretty repetitive like it all evolves in a same topic, and i just find the whole thing to be boring i was expecting that there will be short stories involve, cause I've been reading a bunch of book Novella's and i enjoyed reading them all, so i was expecting the girl who was on fire to be like the Keys to the repository of the Blue Bloods series, i expected this book to contain bios about the characters, and the story behind the plot. *sighs*

I still love the hunger games, but reading the book's anthology really didn't work for me, i guess I am not a big athology fan... I REPEAT! I STILL LOVE THG. LOL

Book Review: Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr

Synopsis Via Goodreads
To 17-year-old Leslie, the tattoo is a thing of indescribable beauty, a captivating mark that she must make her own. But this subtle web of eyes and wings brings with it a transformation that no sweet young girl would ever imagine or welcome.

Book Title: Ink Exchange (Wicked Lovely #2)
Author: Melissa Marr
Genre Fantasy,YA, Paranormal Romance
My Rating:

Book Review
Ink exchange is not actually about Aislinn, so meaning to say this second book is not exactly the continuation of Ash's story.
Ink Exchange is actually about Ash's friend Leslie.so I'm rating this book maybe as a like Stand Alone book. ^^

i actually like this book, i can say that Leslie is a far more interesting character than Ash, i can't actually imagine a life like hers, i mean she has to pretend that everything's ok, like everything's really normal. when she has gone through a traumatic experience, sheesh. can't imagine a life like that, like not being able to confide with people around you, and to think that your own brother is responsible for your own Misery, so that's why i think she is a far more admirable character than Ash, cause she's strong.

the Book is titled Ink Exchange cause of the Tattoo imprinted on Leslie's back, is actually Irial's Mark, meaning that Irial can be able to feed through her emotions. haa. the thought is kinda scary, hmmm. FAERIES FEED THROUGH EMOTIONS?? hmm. kinda creepy. the romance here is kinda mild, but it's still kinda cute when it's a human to faerie relationship. something new to me.

Overall this is a nice book, i was really expecting that the second book is really the continuation of the first. but nevertheless this one didn't quite disappointing it's still a must read if you are planning to read the entire Wicked Lovely Series. ^^

Lurve these blogs! ^^
